The British American Business Council
(BABC) is the largest transatlantic business organization, consisting
of 33 chapters and more than 4,000 companies in major cities throughout North America and
the United Kingdom
British American Business Council Los Angeles
The British American Business Council Los Angeles (BABC LA) is a non-profit and
non-political organization. Incorporated in 1958 in the State of California, it is
governed by a Board of Directors who are elected by the membership.
Objectives
- The BABC LA objectives are to support the unique business partnership between the
US and the UK and to provide a broader, transatlantic business network for its member
companies.
- To help its member associations provide business development and business intelligence
services to their member companies
- To afford members the opportunity to meet professionally, socially and culturally,
as well as develop contacts and friendships within an enjoyable social environment.
- To arrange regular breakfast, luncheon and evening meetings with prominent and expert
speakers catering to a diverse range of interests including specialized seminars, trade
delegations, breakfast groups and business mixers.
- To act as a point of liaison between the membership, the British Consulate-General,
Chambers of Commerce and other commercial institutions, on matters relating to conduct of
trade between the United Kingdom and the United States.
- To assist members in obtaining information and advice on opportunities for trade and
commerce between the United Kingdom and the United States.
